What’s Nexus?

Nexus is the connecting layer between Buyers and Sellers of Rayn Personas within Console & enables scale in Persona Activation for both parties.

Why Nexus?

Since Rayn places a strong emphasis on privacy, data is generally scoped to the domain of a publisher; therefore, personas are not global. Instead, they are evaluated at the publisher level. When you create a persona, you will need to choose which publishers you wish to activate the given persona on. Nexus helps facilitate the connection between demand and supply.

With Nexus, you can create scale by sharing your personas across a large number of publishers allowing for impactful data activation.

As a Buyer, you now have the flexibility to choose exactly where you want to activate your personas. As a Publisher, you can selectively collaborate with preferred buyers or open your personas to a broader network.

Getting started

Before you are able to collaborate with partners via Nexus you will need to determine your role and whether you are looking to only create and activate personas (Aurora) or also act as a data provider (Air). To get started you can create a profile as an Aurora Buyer or an Air Publisher. Your profile determines how you are represented in the system to buyers and sellers.

How to get there?

Within Console, click Nexus from the left-side menu.

Then choose whether you want to create a profile as an Aurora Buyer, Air Publisher or both.

Let's set up your Nexus profile.

First, choose whether you are an Aurora Buyer or an Air Publisher.

Aurora Buyer Profile

As an Aurora Buyer, you are focused on running campaigns targeted at specific personas and increasing your scale by collaborating with multiple Air Publishers to evaluate these personas. The Aurora Buyer Profile represents you to Air Publishers when seeking collaboration.

Air Publisher Profile

As an Air Publisher, you contribute content and user events to Rayn through RaynJS, API, or Batch services. Your goal is to maximize your advertising revenue by enriching your current offerings with Rayn data and enabling buyers to succeed by activating their campaigns on your inventory.

Setting up a profile requires:

  • Logo: Provide a (square) company logo which will be used to easily identify you.

  • Display Name: The name that will be used as your public display name.

  • Business type: High level business type which can be used for filtering purposes.

  • Description: The Description field can be used to describe your company and offering.

  • Default Trust Level (Only for Air Publishers): The trust level allows you to control whether you wish to auto approve all Aurora Buyer's personas or that you wish to manually approve each incoming persona.
