What is Air Intelligence?

Air Intelligence enables publishers to leverage their knowledge of their audience and apply it as a baseline. You can create one or more Audience Models, which are similar to personas. These models consist of a list of audience categories along with their respective weightings. The audience categories are divided into three main pillars: Demographics, Interests, and Purchase Intent. Audience models can be applied to an entire site or specific sections. When a user visits that section of the site, they are assigned the audience categories from the model.

Why use Air Intelligence?

Rayn can derive significant information from content and user consumption patterns. However, certain aspects, such as demographics, can be difficult to infer directly from content. Air Intelligence allows publishers to add an extra layer of depth to the dataset, making the data more valuable and insightful.

Rayn JS No Consent Mode

If Rayn JS does not have TCF consent, it switches to No Consent Mode. In this mode, it does not access local storage or make requests to the Rayn API. Instead, it returns the categories from the Audience Models and default content categories. Ensure that the Audience Models you apply reflect your general audience accurately.

How to Access Air Intelligence

The setup for Audience Models can be found in the main menu under Air > Intelligence.

Audience Models

The Audience Model recommender helps create the initial set of categories. It guides you through several steps to build an accurate representation of your audience:

  • Step 1: Describe your audience and explain what makes them unique.

  • Step 2: Provide demographic data.

  • Step 3: After the Audience Model is generated, you can edit and fine-tune it as needed.

Using Audience Models

As part of the Rayn JS setup, you can assign one or more audience models to a domain or a section of your site.
